![]() We had just come from Paris, and even the Louvre offers decreased or free entry to those under age 26. It cost 15 Euro each so for 3 of us it was 45 Euro, which is quite steep. This is the kind of place we want to encourage the youth of the world to see. My only suggestion to the museum is that there should be a discount for University age students or students/youth in general. The video, audio, and still displays are very well done. There is also a noble attempt to personalize the war by giving short biographies of real people impacted by the war. help build a picture of the massive undertaking of battle. The vast collection of vehicles include tanks, jeeps, planes, & motorcycles from a variety of countries (but mostly US) in addition to displays of other guns, mess kitchen, videos, field displys etc. I recommend a visit of 2-3 hours, avoid the over-priced café and enjoy the interesting collection of military vehicles to get the most out of the steep 15 Euros.īecause of my son's interest in the subject, we've visited many war museums & memorials from Bastogne to Normandy to Verdun, and we can attest to the Oorlogsmuseum in Overloon, NL being one of the best. Although, I travelled by train to Vierlingsbeek station and walked the straightforward pleasant 2-miles to the museum.
